Many westerns have been filmed in Monument Valley and even though you may not know where it is, chances are you would recognize a photo of the area.
Every time I have seen a picture of Monument Valley, I have pictured myself flying through that amazing landscape and that's how this trip was conceived.
While doing my flight planning, I realized that: the Grand Canyon is just a "little" west of Monument Valley Las Vegas is just a "little" west of the Grand Canyon Catalina Island, Ca. is just a "little" west of Las Vegas so I figured why not go all the way to the Pacific Ocean?
